On Sunday, OO and critically acclaimed actor Richard Hope (71) led a workshop in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (QET) for some of the Drama Department’s scholars and GCSE students.
Richard boasts an illustrious career in theatre, television and film. He has just finished playing Sydney Godolphin in the RSC production of Queen Anne at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, in London’s West End and is currently filming the 4th series of Poldark, where he reprises his role as Pascoe.
Richard gave advice on how to prepare for an audition for the National Youth Theatre, and shared some acting tips and techniques for the pupils to practise in both their academic and extra-curricular theatrical pursuits.
This masterclass provided a fun and valuable learning experience for the group and helped nurture their ambition to pursue a successful career in the performing arts.
