Each year Oakham presents an extensive programme of drama productions that demonstrate our commitment to Drama as a crucial form of creative expression. We value our smaller, internal projects that give opportunities to enthusiasts as much as we value our acclaimed high-profile productions.
Professional specialists within the Department offer the opportunity for pupils of all ages to direct, design, learn technical skills, act, stage manage and pursue most lines of theatre activity.
There is theatre available for all members of the School. We are not afraid to be ambitious, bold, challenging and occasionally controversial.

Additionally, we present shows from pupils throughout the School as part of the academic Drama curriculum.
Touring is also an important part of the Oakham drama tradition and productions are regularly taken to the Edinburgh Fringe by our very own Running Torch theatre company.
